Hotel Bishops House
Dražického náměstí 62/6, Prague, 118 00, Czech RepublicWhy We Like It
A well-priced and well-located option which brings together some pleasant historical touches with modern rooms and 24/7 coffee (important for sightseeing stamina). The hotel isn't stuffed with amenities - there's no restaurant, for example--but the friendly and knowledgeable staff will sort you out with some top recommendations.
Fodor's Expert Review
A sweet little hotel very close to the Charles Bridge, Hotel Bishops House blends historic charm with modern amenities at good prices--something of a rarity in a city where you can end up paying top dollar to enjoy the simultaneous joys of pretty painted wooden ceilings and powerful walk-in showers (tick and tick at Bishops House).

Room
Some rooms have attractive old-school features, such as wooden floors and beamed ceilings, and all are decorated in a sleek, modern color scheme--all white, with bold primary colors for the cushions and throws. The standard rooms are on the small side, but comfortable and clean.
Tip Some rooms have interesting individual features, including a rooftop balcony or a prayer alcove. Ask for a tower room for good views.
Bathroom
Bathrooms continue the clean, white theme, and boast large, walk-in rain showers, but no baths.
Lobby
The lobby is sleek and modern (and the entrance is attractive, all stone arches and uplighting), but the real winner here is the staff, who go out of their way to make guests feel welcome, from recommending the best local options to teaching visitors some key Czech phrases.
Dining
The hotel has no on-site restaurant, but provides a pretty decent hot and cold buffet breakfast.
You Should Know No restaurant also means no room service at the hotel, but you are centrally located so plenty of late-night drinking and eating options are close by.
Drinking
The hotel has a small lobby bar (but you're probably better off heading out), as well as a coffee machine, which guests can use for free throughout the day. Prosecco is served with breakfast.

Getting Around
All of Mala Strana are within a few minutes' walk, and many of Prague's other attractions over in Old Town are just across the Charles Bridge. Otherwise, the Malostranské náměstí tram stop is a hub around a 4-minute walk away.
Restaurants
Grab a coffee or leisurely brunch (try the home-baked pastries) at one of Prague's most pleasant modern cafes, Cukrkávalimonáda (3-minute walk). Treat yourself at Hergetova Cihelna (3-minute walk), where you can enjoy views of the river and tasty, somewhat swanky, modern food.
