Every Monday and Wednesday evening the Marriott hosts a sunset luau where beautiful palm-tree studded views of Anaehoomalu Bay serve as the backdrop to a music and dance performance. Of course dinner and drinks (full open bar) are part of the show, and if you have a small group the premier seating upgrade for $30 is worth the extra price so that you receive front row seating, early entrance, and a lei. Adult prices are $109 ($138 premier), children ages 6 to 12 are $54 ($84 premier), and children ages 5 and under are free. Kama’aina and military rates are available.
Courtyard King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel
Why it made the list
One of the best parts about the Island Breeze Luau at Courtyard King Kamehameha is seeing the royal court arrive on a double hulled canoe. Add in traditional arts and crafts, open bar, incredible food, and you’ve got a night to remember. Shows run every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with special Wednesday shows during the busy summer months. We suggest buying your tickets directly from the hotel where guests receive a special discount – there’s a lobby desk specifically for the luau! Adult prices are $106, children ages 6 to 12 are $54, and children ages 4 and under are free. Holiday pricing is a good bit higher.
