Heading from Pi Athens into the very central location of Syntagma square, you can follow one of the most scenic walking routes in Athens, with a few stops along the way. About 1-minute walk away from the Pi is the imposing entrance of the all-marble Panathenaic stadium that hosted the first Olympic Games in modern times. Look out for the statue of the Discobole before you continue your walk through the gardens of Zappeion Megaron, built by Greek benefactor Zeppos, and through the peaceful National Garden. Exiting from the main entrance with the Palm trees (the biggest ones in Greece) you can attend the changing of the guard in front of the Greek Parliament, at the top of Syntagma square.
