Ein Avdat (Avdat Spring) lies at the foot of the narrow canyon dividing the plateau between the ancient Nabatean city of Avdat and Kibbutz Sde Boker, in Ein Avdat National Park. This oasis is a lovely place to explore. Also worth visiting is Sde Boker, where David Ben-Gurion, Israel's first prime minister and a man dedicated to the dream of making the Negev flourish, lived and is now buried. Nearby are other attractions including goat farms.
